Sharston Industrial Estate

Hookstone Group, acting as Principal Contractor, successfully delivered the full demolition of the former Siemens facility at Sharston Industrial Estate, a project valued at £850,000. The scope included safe deconstruction of large industrial structures, comprehensive site clearance, and preparation of the site for future redevelopment.

The demolition works featured multiple 360 excavators ranging from 14-ton to 50-ton, each equipped with specialized attachments to handle steel, concrete, and masonry with precision and efficiency. These machines enabled controlled, high-capacity demolition while minimizing risk and disruption across the site.

Complex engineering demolition techniques were also employed, including bespoke temporary works, structural sequencing, and careful removal of load-bearing elements. This ensured the stability of remaining structures throughout the works and allowed the project to be carried out safely and efficiently.

Delivered over a six-month programme, the project was completed three weeks ahead of schedule, demonstrating Hookstone Group’s expertise in combining advanced machinery, engineering excellence, and meticulous planning to achieve outstanding results.
